Services / Development / Backend
We build the systems a business runs on: custom platforms, APIs, customer portals, admin tools and the integrations that connect them to the software you already use. Built on NestJS and Laravel, designed to scale, documented so your team can run them.
The best backends are invisible to the people using them and obvious to the engineers maintaining them. That is the standard we build to, from a B2B ordering platform processing daily orders to the API behind a mobile app.
A backend is judged in year three, not at launch. Can it take a new integration, a new product line, ten times the load, a new developer who has never seen it? Most of the platforms we are asked to look at fail one of those tests, usually because the first build was a series of quick decisions nobody wrote down. We design for the third year from the first week, and we write the decisions down. Integrations go in first, because that is where the surprises live. The ERP that exports a format nobody documented, the payment provider with a sandbox that behaves differently from production, the legacy system that was supposed to be retired. We connect to each one against real data in staging before building the features that depend on it, so the risk is spent early and the rest of the project runs on known ground. What we build is specific to how you work: an ordering portal customers use every week, the quoting tool your sales team has been faking in spreadsheets, the admin that lets a two person ops team run a business that used to need five. These are designed as carefully as a customer facing product, because your team is in them all day and a bad internal tool costs you every hour. Pannon Turfgrass is the pattern we are proudest of. It began as a website and a rebrand for Hungary's largest turf producer. It is now a B2B ordering platform integrated with the company's operations, with logistics tools around it, and we are still developing it years later on a retainer. The site people see is the smallest part of the system; the system is what the business runs on.

We have integrated with SAP, custom ERPs and most common SaaS tools.
Platform projects fail on unknown integrations and undocumented decisions. We front load the first and write down the second. Each stage ends with something you can inspect, run and sign off.
The process the platform supports, the systems it talks to, the loads it carries. Out of that comes the data model, the stack, the integrations, the environments, and a fixed price you can hold us to.
ERP, payments, legacy systems connected and proven against real data in staging before the features that depend on them are built.
Features demonstrated every sprint on staging, with automated tests, code review and documentation written as we go. Your team can follow the repository throughout.
Migration, go live, monitoring. Then the ongoing work every platform needs: new integrations, features, tuning as usage grows, on retainer or handed to your team.
Backends do not photograph. These are the projects where the platform behind the site is the real work: a turf producer's ordering system and a crypto on ramp live in 190 countries.

Designatives came up with a great new logo and did an excellent job redesigning our website and our whole branding material. We extended our collaboration to software development, and our clients especially love the B2B online ordering system.
A short note is enough: what the platform has to do, what it has to connect to, and when it needs to be live. We reply within one working day with next steps, or you can book a discovery call straight away.
