An
external
product
team
for
startups

Design, frontend, backend, APIs, databases and AI features from one senior team that works inside your product.

Build the first version with us, or bring us into your team to move the roadmap faster. We work in your repository, your Slack and your sprints, and the code is yours from the first commit.

from
the
first
sprint

We pick up your product where it is today, get to know the decisions behind it and start shipping in the first weeks.

From then on we work in your tools and at your pace, with the same people on your product every week.

Four
ways
to
start

Pick the one that fits where your product is today. Many teams start with one and stay for another.

1

Build
the
first
version

An MVP or a new product as one fixed fee project: discovery, design, build and launch, with the scope agreed before we start.

2

Extend
your
team

A senior designer and developers join your sprints on a monthly basis, take work from your backlog and ship through your review and release process.

3

Take
over
an
existing
product

Built by an agency or a team that has moved on? We start with a code review, fix what slows you down and keep shipping while we do.

4

Add
AI
to
what
you
have

Agents, assistants, search that understands intent and MCP connectors, built into your product. More on our custom AI development.

What
we
cover

  • Product design: research, UX, interfaces and a design system in Figma.
  • Web frontends in Next.js, React and TypeScript.
  • Mobile apps in React Native or fully native for iOS and Android.
  • Backends and APIs on NestJS or Laravel, with PostgreSQL behind them.
  • Data modelling, database design and performance work on an existing schema.
  • Integrations with payments, CRMs, ERPs and the third party APIs your product depends on.

Already have a codebase? We work in your repository, follow your conventions and go through your code review.

From
first
call
to
steady
delivery

The first weeks are about earning your trust with real work, not slides.

  1. Intro and code walkthrough

A call about the product, the roadmap and the team. If there is code, we read it before we propose anything, so the plan is based on what is really there.

  2. A first real piece of work

We start with one feature or fix, shipped to production. It shows you how we work and shows us how your team works.

  3. Steady delivery

Weekly sprints with demos, planned with your product lead. Design and engineering move together, so features arrive designed, built and tested.

  4. The long run, or a clean handover

Keep us for as long as the roadmap needs it, or move the work to your own hires with documentation and a proper handover.

From teams we've stayed with

Designatives came up with a great new logo and did an excellent job redesigning our website and our whole branding material. We extended our collaboration to software development, and our clients especially love the B2B online ordering system.
